I am proudly a student at Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) and am expecting to graduate in 2023 with a BS in Computer Science, though I’m not looking forward to leaving this place behind. While my time at Miami so far has been pretty atypical with me taking classes remotely the past two semesters due to COVID-19, I still feel an overwhelming sense of community.
I have already made so many valuable connections that I honestly couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else. The combination of undergraduate resources and overall learning environment makes it the perfect place to widen my horizons and prepare for the working world.
I’m only a sophomore and I already feel like I’ve learned more knowledge with real world application in my first few semesters here than in my entire high school career. Once I finish the prerequisites required to start taking high level Computer Science electives, I plan to focus heavily on big data and machine learning algorithms.
Miami is truly a great place for self development and learning, and the only downside I can think of is that my time here is going too fast. Go RedHawks!
